Description of decorations: The elements used in this aquarium, such as the substrate, wood, dead leaves, stones, rocks, part of them are from the wild, part of them are purchased from stores. Through appropriate design arrangements, I try to simulate the look of real habitat as much as possible. The most important thing of the stream setting is the substrate. I put a lot of sand and mix it with stones and rocks of different sizes, along with branches and leaves, which indicate that the stream is located in the forest.
造景说明：本水族箱所使用的元素，如底砂、沉木、枯叶、石块与岩石等，部分采自野外，部分购自商店。通过合理的设计布局，我力求尽可能还原其真实栖息地的风貌。溪流造景中最关键的要素是底床。我铺设了大量细沙，并混合不同粒径的石块与岩石，同时搭配枝条与落叶，以体现该溪流位于森林之中的特征。
Description of equipment: The aquarium is equipped with a MK800 Canister filter, a wavemaker and 2 T5 lamps for illumination.
设备说明：本水族箱配备一台 MK800 外置过滤桶、一台造浪泵以及两盏 T5 照明灯。

Additional info: The aquarium was set up in November 2018. Observing the changes in the four seasons is a great learning process for me and my family. I hope this fish tank will let more people know about biotope.

Description of the area surrounding the biotope: The source of Hsiao Li Creek is located on the hills in Longtan District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. I also live in this city. The reference coordinates of this setting are: 24°51’40.0″N, 121°10’25.2″E. Hsiao Li Creek is 16 kilometers long and has very good water quality. It was used as drinking water and irrigation water. However, in 2000, due to industrial development, a factory was built in upstream area. Since then, a large amount of industrial wastewater has been discharged into the mainstream, resulting in the disappearance of a large number of original ecological organisms. The original ecology has changed since then. The small tributaries scattered in the mountains now have better biomes. The tributaries are located in the forest, about 250 meters above sea level. There are dense forests on both sides, and many ferns and moss on the riverside and stones.
生物群落周边区域描述：小里溪的源头位于台湾桃园市龙潭区的丘陵地带，我也居住在这座城市。该地点的参考坐标为：北纬 24°51’40.0″，东经 121°10’25.2″。小里溪全长 16 公里，水质优良，曾作为饮用水和灌溉用水。然而，2000 年由于工业发展，上游地区建起了一座工厂。自此，大量工业废水排入主流，导致众多原生生态生物消失，原有生态环境从此发生改变。如今，散布于山间的小支流拥有更良好的生物群落。这些支流位于森林之中，海拔约 250 米。两岸森林茂密，河岸及石块上生长着丰富的蕨类和苔藓。

Description of the underwater landscape of the biotope: The water is about 15~30cm deep and the water is clear. The substrate is fine sand and covered with fallen stones and fallen leaves. The exposed rocks grow a variety of Moss, and these terrestrial Moss sometimes extend into the water. These elements provide shelter and foraging for young fish such as Candidia barbata and Acrossocheilus paradoxus. As their body size becomes larger, they migrate to deeper waters.
生物栖息地的水下景观描述：水深约 15~30 厘米，水质清澈。底质为细沙，覆盖着落石和落叶。裸露的岩石上生长着多种苔藓，这些陆生苔藓有时会延伸至水中。这些元素为小鲃（Candidia barbata）和台湾铲颌鱼（Acrossocheilus paradoxus）等幼鱼提供了庇护所和觅食场所。随着体型增大，它们会迁移到更深的水域。
